+2 to one ability score: Human characters get a +2 bonus on one ability score of their choice at creation.
In unusual circumstances, one or more party members might be a Pokemon, but this is the exception and not the rule. Unlike in most traditional RPGs, most of the Player Characters in a Pokemon Campaign are expected to be Human. Appearance modifies Perform checks and moves such as Attract. Appearance determines how physically impressive, beautiful, or cute a person or Pokemon is. A 7th Ability Score, called Appearance, can be generated as well. Ability modifiers work just as presented in the d20 srd.
